Die Welt des Mikroplastiks
Am Dienstag, den 17.6. ist Prof. Dr. Christian Laforsch zu Gast beim Bürgergespräch „Wir liefern Antworten“der Universität Bayreuth und bildet den Auftakt zur Ausstellung des Sonderforschungsbereichs Mikroplastik.
Eintritt frei, eine Anmeldung nicht erforderlich.
Die Ausstellung ist geöffnet: Mittwoch bis Samstag, 18. – 21.6., täglich 10 – 16 Uhr
Die Ausstellung beleuchtet die Vielschichtigkeit und Vielfalt des Themas Mikroplastik. Was ist das eigentlich: „Mikroplastik“? Wo kommt es in meinem Umfeld vor? Was gibt es zu erforschen? Und wieso ist es so aufwändig und schwierig, Mikroplastik zu erforschen?
Die Besucherinnen und Besucher können sich an unserem interaktiven Touch-Screen einen eigenen Überblick verschaffen. Auf Kacheln wird die Komplexität des Sammelbegriffs „Mikroplastik“ anschaulich erklärt. Auf Infotafeln erklären wir die Komponenten unseres neuen „KeyLabs Mikroplastik Analyse“. Poster zeigen die Situation der Mikroplastik-Beslastung in unserem direkten Umfeld auf. Und unsere Fundstücke, Umwelt- und Referenzproben zeigen erstaunliche Eigenschaften von Kunststoffen. Am Binocular können Besucher selber raten, was ist Plastik und was nicht.

The world of microplastics
On Tuesday, 17 June, Prof. Dr Christian Laforsch will be a guest at the public discussion ‘We provide answers’ of the University of Bayreuth and will kick off the exhibition of the Collaborative Research Centre Microplastics.
Free admission, registration not required.
The exhibition is open: Wednesday to Saturday, 18 - 21 June, daily 10 a.m. - 4 p.m.
The exhibition sheds light on the complexity and diversity of the topic of microplastics. What exactly is ‘microplastic’? Where does it occur in my environment? What is there to research? And why is it so complex and difficult to research microplastics?
Visitors can get their own overview on our interactive touch screen. The complexity of the collective term ‘microplastics’ is clearly explained on tiles. Information boards explain the components of our new ‘KeyLab Microplastics Analysis’. Posters show the situation of microplastic pollution in our immediate environment. And our artefacts, environmental and reference samples show the astonishing properties of plastics. At the binoculars, visitors can guess for themselves what is plastic and what is not.
