Projects

A-Projects | Biological Effects

Aim: To understand the mechanisms and processes that condition the biological effects of chemically complex and realistic MP particles from the molecular, to the community level.

B-Projects | Behaviour and migration in and between environmental compartments

Aim: To understand the mechanisms and processes that condition the behaviour and migration of chemically complex and realistic MP particles in and between the different environmental compartments of freshwaters, atmosphere and soil.

C-Projects | Degradation of plastics in natural and technical systems and the development of new solutions

Aim: To understand the mechanisms and processes that cause the physical, chemical and biological degradation of chemically complex and realistic MP particles in natural and technical systems.
biodegradation of chemically complex and realistic MP particles in natural and technical systems - development of new environmentally friendly plastics that do not form persistent MP particles and methods for removing MP in technical systems.

s-projekt

S-Project | Synthesis Project

  • To the S01 project: Prediction of the toxicity and assessment of the environmental risk of microplastic particles based on their properties

Z-Projects | Central Service Subprojects

In the CRC 1357, there are some central service subprojects that provide central facilities and services for all subprojects. These include the production and ageing of microplastics, the analysis of microplastics and genome analysis. In addition, central project coordination (SFB 1357 Microplastics Office) and public relations are of great importance.
